Day 1 :Marrakech – AitBenhaddou
Travel towards the High Atlas Mountains. Cross the mountains via the highest road pass in Morocco Tizi n Tichka (2270m) offering one kind of scenery of mountains, valleys and Berber villages. Visit the extraordinary sight of the Atlas Mountains Kasbah Telouet. The crumbling Kasbah belonged to the powerful Glaoui tribe remembered as the "vulture" sultan and his son who lived there until the 1950's. Once a beautiful Kasbah, but still worth the visit today as the history and drama will unfold itself. Then you have the choice to take the main road or travel off road via the Ounila Valley. Route that offers unparalleled views of green valleys, river and remarkable colored slopes and hillsides. On your tour of Morocco visit the amazing UNESCO protected 16th century sight of Kasbah AitBenHaddou.

Day 2 :AitBenhaddou - Ouarzazate –Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge
This morning we depart towards the city of Ouarzazate city known as the doorway to the Sahara Desert. Then we start traveling via the Road of Thousand Kasbahs to Skoura Oasis lined by many palm groves at to Rose Valley known for production of Moroccan roses. At Boumalen Dades we can the smaller route that will lead us to the Dades Gorge. We will pass the strange rock creation of Tamnalt Hills, a bizarre rock resembling monkey feet. We will travel to the top of the Dades Gorge, deep gorge of red and mauve rock towering above the road. Then we return back to Boumalen Dades and travel to another very spectacular gorge, Todra Gorge.. |
Day 3 :Todra Gorge –Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
This morning we depart Todra Gorge and start traveling towardsTinjdad then Touroug Erfourd. We visit the fossils center and the ancient city of Rissani that thrived from the 8th to the 14th centuries thanks to the caravan routes of the kingdom of Sijilmassa. It was also the home of the Alouite peoples - the early conquerors of all Morocco. We see men wearing the indigo blue robes distinctive of the Saharan people. Then later in the afternoon saddle your camels your journey to take us across the desert during a beautiful sunset for about 2 hours to reach you camp for the night by the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Overnight in the Nomad tent, night full of stars. |
Day 4 : Merzouga - Khamlia - Taouz - Ouzina - Ramlia - Mharch
Returns the bivouac after we make the departure to the village by village Khamlia known Gnawa who make music in the desert) with a stop for mint tea in the Gnawa, then departure for Taouz (last village in the south) and then prints repistres Oued Ziz by lowering the track of Paris-Dakar passing through small village lost in the desert Ouzina (lunch spot) and Ramlia after crossing Ramlia very sandy wadi Rheris and track which follows the mountain jusq'a M'harch. |
Day 5 :M'harch - Zagora
Just after breakfast, departure to Zagora through the track of Paris-Dakar while crossing plien desert plateau of acacia trees and Calotropis; hamadas and meeting with the nomadic tent. Dinner and overnight at the hotel with dinner and breakfast. |
Day 6 :Zagora - Tamgroute - Mhamid - Dunes de Chegaga
you are will travel in a 4x4 through a beautiful desert landscape by visiting the old coranic school in Tamgrout to a Village of Mhamid for lunch break. This Oasis consists of a small group of palm trees around a source in the midst of the desert, which running water the whole year. It is deemed as a source of life to the nomads. Around 16h00 and after further 15 km we reach the dunes of Chigaga (Chegaga) . This largest group of dunes of the region reaches a height of 300 m on a length of 40 km. Dinner and night in nomad tent or under the star filled sky with entertainment.. |
Day 7 :Erg Chigaga Dunes - Ouarzazate
After breakfast in Erg Chigaga (Chegaga) , departure with 4x4 via the old Paris - Dakar race road to Foum Zguid crossing Iriqui lake, lunch break in a berber village named Taznakht. |
Day 8 : Ouarzazate - Marrakech
After breakfast departure to visit the town of Ouarzazate the Kasbah of Taourirt, kasbah Tifoltout ,Studio Cinema. Then passes through the village and the village of Merzgane Ighrem lunch safe place and then continue by road to Marrakech fluted across the Tizi-n-Tichca. |
